My piece for the March 12 benefit art exhibit/auction LOVECRUSHARTPARTY held by AIGA|STL, to benefit the American Heart Association.
I can’t be there as I’ll be at SXSWi, but please go. It’s going to be a great event.
Some people (Duane Michals, Bill Plympton, Hal Mayforth, Peter Kuper, Hatch and many others) have contributed original works and some people have created original works using a supplied metal heart—about 12×12″—as a starting point (like this one).
Considering I have a (presently dormant but annually active—see my NSM sets) blog called “I Love Sandwiches” I went with the sandwich theme. Wouldn’t you like to have a lovely heart sandwich / sandwich heart hanging in your home?
It’s made of archival inks printed to canvas, applied to tin, and clearcoated.
This is for my niece Alyson who has aortic stenosis and is awesome.
Thanks.
