MOSSVELVET is a music project.
It’s also a ‘found objects’ project of sorts — there is no original music. Everything is assembled from Apple GarageBand Loops and SFX, plus a handful of public domain samples.
The “Bones” album is a document of a fictional band’s rise and a real nation’s collapse — a mostly instrumental, entirely fake dystopia of fractured moods, futile momentum, and imagined memories. It’s kind of like if Muzak influenced post-rock indie, and no one listened, rather than indie getting translated into Muzak, and hearing your favorite songs in the grocery store and wanting to crawl into a hole.
