This wall sculpture is made of about 400 Cedar construction shims.
I painted chunks of them with a bunch of leftover sample cans and stains, and just started glueing them together without any solid idea of what I was aiming for. I kept attaching them in semi-circles, then attaching the semi-circles together—and eventually, obviously, the semis became a circle.
It weighs about 20 pounds, has a diameter of 36 inches, and is 2 inches deep.
Some of the slivers glow in the dark.
