I love the Afghan Whigs. My wife loves them even more. Like, *a lot* more (Greg Dulli superfan #1). Our first kiss was to a Whigs song. We’re psyched for the band’s first new album in 15+ years and we like the first song they just put out, “Algiers.”

But the first thing that popped into my head when I saw the Very Serious Western-y video for the song was Bon Jovi’s “Wanted Dead or Alive” from 1986. So I recut it :-)

Sorry Mr. Dulli. I first saw you guys around 1990 at Sudsy’s in Cincinnati and last saw you for the Whigs’ “final” show NYE 2012 in Cincy! Here’s a pic I shot in 1992.
