Have been wanting a new project idea for a while. Kicked around the idea of combining rust and moss because they attack similarly but are so opposite. Also, have never really done much with combining photographs. So I’m trying it out. Urban strata.
This test image is made from six separate photos turned sideways, then combined where textures and composition lined up close enough to blend. Seems like a vertical orientation would be cooler for the strata illusion, but I think I like it horizontal. What do you think?
Must be viewed larger, although the real original is about 100 inches wide.
Update, 2014: I turned one of these into a Möebious Strip.
