No new sites this week
Vacation. No local blog or any other site this week. Sorry.
Every week I used to find a cool weblog (sometimes a local St. Louis blog) or some useful, interesting web site from here or there and write up a brief on it for the Sunday Everyday section Tuesday Here and Now section in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch (I used to work there as Features Photo Editor). That's about it. Not much action here anymore. More of my stuff can be seen here: keaggy.com.
With the holidays upon us, many of us are thinking about "things" -- things we're giving, things we're getting, things for which we're thankful. Well, Things Magazine also has "things" on the mind, year-round. The publication and its weblog explores the idea that objects and their meaning can open up new ways of understanding the world (the site is more interesting than it sounds). Explore things galore at www.thingsmagazine.net.
The close of the calendar year brings us hundreds of "Year's Best" lists. How can we possibly keep up? Head on over to fimoculous.com and enjoy the fruits of Rex Sorgatz's labor -- last year he linked more than 700 lists. Go to Fimoculous.com: 2006 Lists
