CAMERAS: FORMATS, MEDIA & GEAR
Ther are lots of technical specs and items to understand.
- Media: Secure Digital (SD) (most common now) Compact Flash (usually just on professional cameras); Memory Stick (Exclusive to Sony); xD Picture Card (Exclusive to Fuji and Olympus); Internal memory (sometimes found)
- File formats: JPG (most common, uses lossy compression); RAW (used by professionals and artists, lossless, flexible)
- Gear: Extra memory cards, extra batteries, card reader or cable, waterproof case or bag, travel case and/or bag, monopod
