Think about the past.
At the every least, you’ll get smarter, possibly more empathetic. Or maybe just more pathetic. It don’t matter because thinking about the past lets you know what will happen in the future. Well, not exactly, but it’ll give you a pretty good idea. Or at least a weird, anachronistic idea. It might even give you a completely stupid, misinformed idea. But if you're talking geology, the human capacity for inhumanity, or television sitcoms — then just know that the past will repeat itself. So think about that.
