BASICS: USING FLASH
Most on-camera flashes are direct, harsh and cheap. But they do light up the dark.
- Use sparingly can create ugly shadows
- Usually makes the subject really bright but creates a dark background
- Only useful for a few feet
- Try the "Slow-synchro" flash setting (a long exposure with flash tries to balance a dark background with the bright flash exposure of your main subject)
