What was happening: It's a frowny picture because “Gladiator” won the Best Picture Oscar. Buncha shit. “Traffic” or “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” should've won, of course. L-R: bk, Alice, Diane and Richard at the last Art Hill Oscar Party ever. I ate a lot of bread dipped in olive oil and balsamic vinegar, which is good because I drank so much wine and champagne. (BONUS: One year later, Five years later.)
